29/09/2006: Vonage UK selling WiFi phone
You can now buy the UTStarcom
F1000 WiFi phone from Vonage
UK. The phone connects to your home/office WiFi network
to make cheap calls through the Vonage VoIP service
and can also be used at "compatible WiFi hotspots".
We're now working with the phone's manufaturer UTStarcom to
ensure that this and the F3000 phones will work seamlessly
with AiRed hotspots.

21/09/2006: New Hotspot in Duquesa
We are proud to announce that our latest WiFi hotspot
is up and running at Kings Klub in The Courtyard,
Monte Duquesa. Access Vouchers are available from the friendly staff at Kings
Klub which is open daily from 10am to 10pm (12pm to 10pm on Sundays). They also
offer an Internet cafe, DVD club and satellite TV instalations among other services.

27/04/2006: Netgear WiFi Skype Phone
Netgear have announced
that their new WiFi handset, pre-installed with Skype VoIP
software, is now available in the US for pre-order on amazon.com.
This phone lets you use your Skype account to make free phone calls to other
Skype users and cheap international calls using your SkypeOut credit. The phone
connects to the Internet whenever it finds an open WiFi hotspot and displays
the online status of your Skype buddies.
We hope to have support for this phone at all AiRed hotspots shortly after
it launches in Europe.

The Nokia 770 is the nicest WiFi enabled, hand-held device I've seen so far.
And it runs on Linux, so you can bet there will lots of inovative, free software

26/09/2005: Duquesa AiRed coverage extended to Marina Basin
We are exited to announce the installation of new equipment
in Duquesa which has boosted our signal towards the yacht
basin. Berth holders now have a faster (up to 800Kb/s) more
reliable option for Wireless Internet access on-board.

We have set up a new AiRed hotspot in Sabinillas with complete coverage of the
town square (Plaza Vicente Espinel). Access vouchers are available from Asesoria

11/08/2005: Now it's even easier to keep track
of your minutes!
The new myGBIA service let's you see exactly how many minutes
are left on your AiRed Internet Access vouchers. Just log
in with the username and password you use when going on-line
at AiRed locations.
16/07/2005: Another AiRed location!
We have established a new AiRed hotspot at the Duquesa Business
Center in Puerto La Duquesa, Local 66 in the Galerias.
The Duquesa Business Centre is already a thriving Internet
cafe who are now able offer no-hassle, WiFi Internet
access to customers who bring their own laptops and PDAs.

AiRed is in the process of rolling out a new Wireless Broadband
Internet service called 'AiRed urban', currently available
for trials to residents in and around the El Duque urbanisation
in Sabinillas. Subscribers will be able to surf the net,
use e-mail and even make VoIP phone calls without the need
for a physical telephone line.
